look at lifelines for short endings, the last two years
well, goddamn, they'd better be worth it
talk about big pictures
store yourself in cabinets
discoverable
and entreat the windows into covalescing
put all your emphasis on healing
over all those dark secrets
a natural expulsion
the body won't hold foreign objects forever
we're on our way back to blank slates
back to smooth skin
back to childhood
this time, without the conviction
this time, without the convents
to hold us in our places
and every now and then

i'm going to feel
absolutely
unable
to be challenged
(we were looking for a challenge to match itself
straight in line with our talents
and so, new frontiers were not enough
we made new places up, and followed our dreams
and everything we had, it was all worth leaving
